Jennifer Holmes
DC Citizen Corps Program Assistant

An Oakland, California native, Jennifer Holmes has called the Washington area home since 2003. She is a graduate of the prestigious Howard University, where she studied communications. Ms. Holmes made the decision to remain in the area following graduation and started her ascension into the work world.

Starting as an Event Coordinator for Occasions Caterers, she cultivated her natural ability to organize. Ms. Holmes has embraced her newest endeavor, emergency planning, as an additional means to build her organizational skills. Ms. Holmes thinks her new position is important because of the uncertain times in which we live. She treats her responsibilities at Serve DC with the utmost seriousness.

An event planner by nature, Ms. Holmes spends much of her free time organizing various social functions for her friends. Her friends play a large role in her life, and she is championed as a wonderful source of support amongst them. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and wine tasting.
