Shilpa Sharma 

 

Shilpa Sharma is the financial assistant for finance, grants and operations in Serve DC. She is involved in grants administration support which includes budget analysis, budget formulation and forecasting, transaction processing, procurement and ensuring compliance with federal and local grant requirements. She works with the Deputy Director to identify spending pressures and potential shortfalls and coordinate effective expenditure plans with program staff.

 

Prior to this, she worked as a Financial Consultant in a Consulting firm based out of Maryland. She is a graduate of The George Washington University where she has earned a master's in international economic affairs with a concentration in international trade and business finance.

 

Originally from India, she came on a Fulbright Fellowship to the United States, where she got an opportunity to experience diverse cultures and be a student ambassador representing her country. She loves to live in Ward 1 and enjoys running and spending time with her family in her free time.
