Rita Sinha
Miss DC and Miss Teen DC International Pageant Systems

Rita Sinha was sworn into the Commission on National and Community Service on October 27, 2008 by Mayor Adrian M. Fenty. She is a past recipient of the Mayor's Youth Service Award and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. She represented the nation's capital as Miss District of Columbia International 2007 promoting a platform of HIV/AIDS Prevention. That year she was afforded the opportunity to speak to and work with hundreds of youth, young adults, community leaders and policymakers to help combat this epidemic. She currently serves as executive director of the Miss DC and Miss Teen DC International Pageant Systems and is passionate about promoting women ambassadors for the nation's capitol that are active and engaged in bringing attention to their public service platforms.

Rita is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Engineering, and has entered into a career in patent/trademark law. She is also a graduate of Spirit of Faith Bible Institute, a university whose mission is "to produce leaders who have pure hearts to serve with excellence, integrity and a spirit of faith." She is currently pursuing legal studies at the George Washington University School of Law. She shares, "I look forward to working with such a great group of people!"
