Kristen Henry
   Kristen Henry
Director of National Service

Kristen is currently the Director of National Service where she oversees AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America. Kristen has also served as the Learn and Serve Coordinator where she managed Serve DC’s Learn and Serve America program to promote service-learning and youth civic engagement during in-school and out-of-school time in the District. Prior to this role she worked for three years as a Project Associate with the National Youth Employment Coalition in Washington, DC where she focused on education initiatives for out-of-school youth. She also served as an AmeriCorps Member with City Year Philadelphia and Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver.

Kristen received her BA in political science and history from Rutgers University in New Jersey. In her free time she volunteers with DC Habitat and serves on the board of DC AmeriCorps alums. She is from New Jersey and currently resides in Ward 6.
