John Savage 
   John Savage
AmeriCorps Coordinator
 

John Savage currently serves as the AmeriCorps Coordinator for Serve DC. He received his Bachelor of Arts in politics from Hendrix College in Conway, AR and minored in biology. John has a firm commitment to national service. He currently serves on various boards and advisory committees to provide technical assistance to grassroots organizations. He also finds time to volunteer at various organizations and mentor youth in his community. Before coming to the DC Commission, John served two years as an AmeriCorps member in Baltimore and worked three additional years as Director of Education in the City Program for Notre Dame-AmeriCorps. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in organization development and human resources from Johns Hopkins University.
